Carlos didn't want to be a paramedic, he just took the job to make money while going through med-school. He has since relized he wants to be a paramedic because he relized that paramedics do make a huge difference in the world. Recently he risked his life to sav his captains life after Doc had a mental breakdown and shot him. Carlos even though has had his troubles is a great man.
